"Hawk" Takes Out Fairest & Best


2015 recruit Jesse Hawkins wins the League Fairest and Best Brierley Medal at a presentation night held at Judds Kalgoorlie Hotel on Friday evening.

Hailing from Swan Hill in country Victoria, Hawk has been a welcome addition to the Railways League squad this year. Presented with the award by 2014 winner Aaron Rymer, Hawk thanked the club for making him feel welcome, "I'd like to thank you all for being so kind, making me dinner and looking after me, it's really appreciated".

Taking out the top honour with a score of 160, the top 5 were rounded out by:

Colts

A history making result saw a draw for the 2015 Fairest and Best Don Colgan Medal. Nicholas Doutch and Jack Kemp took out top honours with 109 votes apiece.

Reserves

Kody Kelman takes out the Reserves Don Jones Medal with 115 votes.

Club stalwart Brad Edwards was inducted as a life member with a huge show of appreciation from the crowd.

Uncle Alan Hinchliffe was recognised for his hard efforts with the Club Person of the Year Award.
